It’s been chalk and cheese… we look quicker, sharper and look like we know have a clue. Bottom line, sadly, no goals. Everything else is cosmetic. Losing becomes a habit, and currently Notts County has an addiction. The form from the last few months of past season has carried on into this. Saturday now looks crucial to stop the Rot. But just where are the goals coming from? |

Cotter must never get near this side again, Jones looks disinterested and in first half the midfield was static ! So 3 games in , 1 draw 2 losses only I goal scored. Simply not good enough

That was night and day to the first half. I do believe we have made some decent signings and obviously questionable ones.
Like under Maynard I don’t want to see slow Pep ball, let’s see some risk taking like the 2nd half at the start of games.

We actually look a decent team but simply have nobody to put the ball in the net, it needs to be addressed and quick... yet another early cup exit which is horrible but hey let's hope we finally come good this weekend...if we can't get a result against Barrow we are in serious trouble

Right, ok.
Didn't want to post on here until FT.
That was miles better than Saturday. We didn't deserve to lose that. Pen was never a pen. We were far superior 2nd half and we made Wigan look like dogshite. Lucky pen and just good defence.
I'm certainly not going to be knee jerking after that display. Much better. On to Saturday and COYP!!!

We have put a shift in and looked better going forward in the last 20 minutes of the last 3 games. Would it be too much to ask if we could possibly do this at the start of a game ?

Maybe… but a big genuine number 9 like Jatta could be a big piece of the jigsaw. Plenty of willing runners. I liked Luker more in the 10… I liked Iorpenda. Hall looks to have a bit about him. Pity we seem to be relying on these guys rather than our own players. In the end there were a few positives after what can only be described as a horror show… with one player in particular looking way way way out of his depth. |

Let's not forget how bad we were at the end of last season also, it's not all on Paterson.
1 win in the last 11 competitive games.

Totally different approach to the first half. Credit where it’s due. Really enjoyed that game, free-flowing, ball to feet.....all round team performance is a 7 from me......Cotter was the only one struggling IMO, Bennetts superb, Dennis as a sub hits the post.....JJ tried hard, Beds and McDonald very, very good.
Luker and Iro dribbled out of tight spaces.....totally different team.
Well done Notts......proud of you. |

Hardly a habit, 2 games, the second against a team from a higher league and only because of a highly dubious penalty. Just had to be Mullin (p) didn’t it |

I really like the look of Dennis, and think we will see goals from Luker and Hall too - but we need a tap in merchant to take the pressure off AJ |
